Feist's hit single 1 2 3 4 has certainly been doing the rounds.

As you've probably seen a thousand times, it's in an iPod nano ad. It has also been used in HBO promos, an Australian eBay ad, an Urban Outfitters clothing promotion video, a commercial for an Australian music download service, a promo for Lifetime Television, and even on Live with Regis and Kelly. (I know about that one because I was home sick and don't have cable... the horror.)

Now that song has made it onto The Colbert Report - although the honour is a little dubious.

On the most recent episode (October 11), Colbert is performing his rapid-fire intro and promos what's coming up on the show, then says: "This'll get the Feist song right out of your head" before singing the classic TV jingle, "Buy Mennen."

Not sure if it works - that song sticks like sweet gooey caramels - but they say that sometimes, the best thing to do to exorcise a melody is listen to it again. So here 'tis!
