We've barely cooled our jets from
Pop Montreal, but this weekend, CBC Radio 3 is putting on
an extra special show at
Halifax Pop Explosion. If you go to
the Marquee on Saturday night, you can catch performances by
Miracle Fortress,
Pride Tiger,
Land of Talk,
Mother Mother, and
Eric’s Trip.
And if you can't make it there in person, you can hear the show in our
first-ever live concert broadcast on web radio right here (or on Sirius Channel 94) starting at 9 p.m. EST!
So to get you in the mood, we're asking some of the east coast's favourite musicians for their
Top 5 Things To Do In Halifax.
First up, from favourite Canadian rocker
Matt Mays:
5. Hang out at
Gig Street Music and drool over old expensive
guitars.
4. Record with Charles Austin at
the Echo Chamber.
3. Listen to
Big Star records late at night at
Tribeca.
2. Sing
Born to Run at karaoke at
Cheers at 3:30 a.m.
1. Hang out at
Dacane Surf Shop on
Blowers
St. drooling over new surfboards and stealing surf
wax and stickers.
More to come soon... but in the meantime, what are your favourite places to visit or things to do in Halifax?
