It almost sounds like a sexy car, or an equally saucy action film starring Marky Mark but the Italian Edition is a band coming from the very non-hot city of Victoria, BC. Well, it is where Hot Hot Heat comes from, so...maybe...no, I'll get back on track here.

The Italian Edition is a very fine quintet who make jazz fused indie rock. Normally that would not get high praise from me, anything jazz fushioned is on my "no thanks" list. But these guys pull it off remarkably well. So well in fact I had a hard time choosing just one song to recommend from their release The Fable of the Mouse and Frog. "Miss Demeanour" is the song we've been playing a lot of around here and one you might remember from one of Grant's weekly podcasts a while back.

So after test running the others I settled on "Nathalie" one that shows off those jazz chops and their stylized lyrics. And if you like it as much as me, check out the rest of their songs at their NMC page.
