When I was a young boy growing up in the 90s in Riverview, New Brunswick, we use to get a lot of wrong numbers calling our house and asking for Ken Kelly. You know, we'd get calls like; "Ken what time's the party at Red River? Ken! I left my roach clip at your house! Ken do you have Kiss' Greatest Hits on Vinyl?
See, my Dad's name is Ken Kelly, but it's also the name of the drummer from legendary Riverview rock band, The Monoxides.
In the 90's these guys were IT. They had an album. They had a video on Much. They worked at Sam the Record Man, and they knew guys like Sloan. Mind you... the album may not have done very well, and the video... you could only see it at, like 12:30 on Sunday night, but man if you were 13 years old and played guitar in my town, you knew the riff from "I've Got an Idea".
