Even though I'm still groggy and coming down with something nasty due to the various marathon hockey events of the past week, the CBC Radio 3 Podcast soldiers on valiantly whether I can mentally keep up or not.

Thankfully, while my brain may be mush, the music continues to be outstanding. This week, new indie Canadian bliss from Pete Samples of Winnipeg, DD/MM/Yyyy of Toronto, and Beija Flor, a brilliant new band from Calgary.

Also on the show, a wizardly war of words between Final Fantasy and our special correspondent from Middle Earth, Lord Underworld.

    that was rude of Gretzky's assistant.. it's not as if he's still receiving truckloads filled with bags of fanmail from little kids saying how they admire him or anything! The season is done for Phoenix anyways, with one of the worst standings in the whole league!..er second worse. Wouldve been nice if he atleast said a "congratz on reaching 99 episodes!" comment

    Actaully I guess he gets asked all the time to do stuff like this. Anytime anything turns 99 they go to him. You can imagine how tiring that must be.

    I think it was good of them just to get back to us.

    i have not yet listened so I don't know what the Gretsky thing is about, but I vaguley seem to remember hearing the Final Fantas/Lord Underworld thing a very long time ago back on R3 on R2
