Such was the conversation between LB and I regarding posting the Best of User Playlists 2006 on the blog as an audio file nearly a month after it aired on Sirius. Whoever posted it, we figured, was sure to look like a bit of a dork, and seeing as I am unquestionably more dork-like than LB... I get to be the one saying "Hey! Check out the best of User Playlists '06! Woooo!"

Don't hate us. Nothing is as easy as it seems, what with radio technology being somewhat different from web-tech, and so with all the other stuff going on around here it took a while to get our poop together.

We've selected seven of our favourite user playlists, each one chock-full of some of the finest selections New Music Canada has to offer. If you'd like to spend some time checking out each one, here they are:

Incidentally, do you have a playlist? No? Well, it's pretty simple. All you need to do is register (takes all of 10 seconds), and begin adding tracks by clicking on the little plus sign (+) you see next to any of the 40,000 tracks in our database. You can get all the deets here.

Seeing as the show runs about two hours in length, we've broken it down into 4 bite-sized chunks. Check it out, and please tell us what you think!

Great show! Its always weird listening to yourself recorded. (I'm sure you're used to it!)

And hey! I'm glad its on the website! And I'm glad that you hosted it and not Grant! : ) (sorry Grant, you're great too, but that sultry voice just does something for me!)

Holiday Special?

I guess you were serious when you said it took a while to get this done... or is there a holiday in the rest of Canada I don't know about here in Montreal (besides August's Civic Holiday)?

Carmelo, if you want to hear Grant sound sultry... I can try and dig up a 1-900 number I've heard is floating around.

Isabel, er... yes. It's a holiday exclussive to Vancouver, and people take it very, very seriously.

Dagnabbitt!

I used to have a playlist that I embedded into my blog and due to a recent update I lost the embedment. Well I also haven't changed the playlist for about three years. Now with all the new whistles and bells on the glorious CBC3 site i can't seem to find the ability to search user playlists to find the old playslit... I knda forgot the details of the playlist other than I really enjoyed the content. Your new look rocks but I would love to be able to look at other guest's playlists.
