CBC Radio 3 Blog - Scare-a-rific Halloween Playlist!

I'm a big fan of Halloween. Not so much the costumes... I was never really very good at those, but I'm down with giving the darkness a great big hug and scarfing my own weight in so called "fun-sized candy."

With this in mind I asked everyone in the office to send their picks for NMC tracks that best capture the ghastly spirit of the season, and threw them into a caldron of love to create a witch's brew of a playlist we're calling The Funk of 40,000 Years. Enjoy, but beware... it's cursed.

The Creeps!

This playlist needs the addition of The Creeps song, "In The Graveyard". If you have any trouble finding it, it's in my playlist.

I'm a little surprised that Ouija Board by Evan Gordon is not on this playlist. :)

2) Whisker Kiss: Zombie Song
3) The Arcade Fire: Black Mirror (Maybe???)
4) A/V: Phantom City Wants To Hurt You (A bit of a stretch. perhaps!)
5) Thee Rigormorticians: (Anything!)
6) The Brains: More Brains (or any of their other songs!)
7) Grim Hymn and the Horrors (Anything!)
8) The Music Box: Vampire Blues
9) Deadly Snakes: Graveyard Shake

Hmmm... on second thought the Whisker Kiss song probably isn't zombie-y enough, but an obvious omission from the list is Creeper (Islands)!
